Innovation at Notre Dame
Notre Dame is forging a distinctive path in the entrepreneurship and innovation space, one that unites in our mission the best elements of our groundbreaking research, the development of marketable innovations, and our diverse global networks. We have laid the groundwork to become the leader in moving ideas from discovery to incubation to commercialization—and, in turn, to create new and lasting jobs while advancing the common good.
Research at Notre Dame
A bold new chapter of discovery has been set in motion at Notre Dame with the recent opening of the $45 million state-of-the-art McCourtney Hall research complex that includes 201,630 square feet of lab space and offices. The University plans to grow its research space in the near future to help drive economic and community development for the region, the country, and the world.
Innovation Park is a commercialization complex where marketable innovations are cultivated in an inspiring environment with access to Notre Dame’s cutting-edge research infrastructure and world-class students and faculty. This entrepreneurship space is where productive collaborations between entrepreneurs and inventors, students and investors, and subject matter experts and University staff take place.
The Notre Dame Global Network
Notre Dame’s global network encompasses over 134,000 active alumni, many employed as directors, partners, and chairpersons at the world’s top firms. In addition, we maintain intellectual hubs throughout the world at gateways in major cities. Further, Notre Dame California connects the University to a state that is shaping the future of our world. Our Silicon Valley presence lends our distinctive voice to the moral and ethical deliberations that arise in a landscape where the next big thing is always just around the corner.
