Notre Dame Fund donors make incredible impact as 70% of Notre Dame students receive financial aid

Through gifts of all sizes, alumni, parents, students, and friends make a powerful difference in the lives of current students each year by donating to the Notre Dame Fund.

The Notre Dame Family gave more than $4.46 million through the Notre Dame Fund in fiscal year 2023–2024, creating a ripple effect of change and opportunity.

A significant portion of these funds is dedicated to providing essential financial aid, ensuring that our students can pursue their dreams. In fact, 70% of Notre Dame undergraduate students received financial aid in the 2023–2024 academic year.

The median need-based scholarship awarded to incoming first-year students in 2023 was $56,000. Notre Dame continues to be one of fewer than 60 schools in the nation committed to meeting 100% of a family’s financial need, reflecting our dedication to making a Notre Dame education attainable.
