With another exciting fall season of Notre Dame Athletics around the corner, we’re proud to mark the culmination of the summer with a look back at the 2025 Sports Summit—an exclusive gathering of our Rockne Premier members in Frisco, Texas, this June.
This year’s Sports Summit offered members of the Rockne Athletics Fund at the Jesse Harper Council and Athletics Director’s Circle levels the opportunity to hear from legends in the sports world and behind-the-scenes insight from Notre Dame Athletics staff, alumni, and student-athletes.
Highlights of the program included the following events, among others:
- Shannon Boxx ’98 (U.S. Women’s National Team, Soccer Hall of Fame ’22) and Izzy Engle ’28 joined Caroline Pineda ’22 (NBC Sports) for a panel on the evolution of women’s soccer. The venue for this gathering was the National Soccer Hall of Fame, where Shannon is highlighted and honored multiple times.
- Dick Corbett Head Football Coach Marcus Freeman unpacked the historic 2024 Notre Dame football season at the Cosm Dallas.
- Two current football student-athletes, Jadarian Price ’27 and Jaden Greathouse ’27, sat down with Paul Burnmeister (NBC Sports) to discuss what it means to “Choose Hard” as elite competitors.
- Athletics leadership, including Laura Parker McAleer and Aaron Horvath, discussed the role of Congress in the future of collegiate athletics with Vice President and James E. Rohr Director of Athletics Pete Bavaqua.

Members heard unique insights on national trends, the evolving landscape of collegiate athletics within the context of Notre Dame’s mission, and how the Fighting Irish will continue thriving while championing student-athletes.
It was with deep gratitude that we welcomed our special guests, from notable alumni to iconic figures in athletics and engaged Rockne members, for this especially meaningful celebration of our mission.
