Every Saturday before the Fighting Irish kick-off, Notre Dame Giving Society members are invited to the Annual Giving tailgate as an extra special “thank you” for the incredible impact they make year-round.
This fall, 4,057 members came together at the Shake Down the Thunder! tailgates.
With special guest appearances from the cheerleaders, leprechaun, and even bagpipers, Giving Society members enjoyed all-you-can-eat food and drink in the comfort of Duncan Student Center.
NBC Sports and Olympics Commentator Paul Burmeister, the radio voice of Notre Dame football, attended each tailgate to discuss the upcoming game live in his “Chalk Talk,” offering insightful commentary and predictions.
This family-friendly tailgating event featured a kids' area with cornhole and coloring books and large TVs with the most popular game of the day, both offering a place to relax and escape the elements as well as to enjoy quality time with friends and family.
