Senior Legacy

Senior Legacy

Leave your legacy.

Remember your time at Notre Dame: the friendships formed, the lessons learned, the passions discovered. Senior Legacy is the chance for the Class of 2019 to come together and make our first gift to our alma mater. A Notre Dame education is the gift that keeps giving. Hopefully, a Notre Dame alum returns that favor.

Dear Class of 2020,

We have learned to be appreciative and resilient through exposure to both undefeated and 4-8 football seasons. We have learned how to say goodbye through the tragic demise of both Feve and Reckers. We have learned how to say hello with the classic Notre Dame introduction. We have grown as people in this special place and simultaneously earned a world-class education.

Although there have been incredible highs throughout our time at Notre Dame, there are also times when we have needed help through a hard event, situation, or time of our life. We are lucky to be close enough as a community that support is often found through friends, teams, groups, clubs, and professors. Unfortunately, sometimes challenges arise that require more than these traditional resources; this is where professional support through the University’s Counseling Center can be extremely valuable and crucial to a student’s well-being.

We’ve listened to student’s concerns and commitment to addressing mental health and wellness on our campus and here is our opportunity to put things into action. This is our chance to come together as a class to make the Notre Dame experience the best it can be for others in years to come. Join us in making a gift of any size to the University Counseling Center (UCC) by May 2020 to help all students enjoy the full Notre Dame experience while having access to the help and support they need along the way.

Without the gifts and support of alumni, Notre Dame could not have provided us with such an incredible and supportive home away from home. We are setting a goal for the Class of 2020: 100% participation. Whether you can give $5 or $50, collectively our gifts will make a big impact. Let’s leave one last mark on our soon-to-be alma mater as the Class of 2020!

P.S. Those of us on the Senior Legacy Board want to make sure that you understand and are comfortable with where your gift is going and what it is going to be used for. We are here to answer any questions you may have, including how the football ticket lottery works. Feel free to reach out at any time!

Why should I give?

As soon-to-be graduates, we appreciate the invaluable gift that is a Notre Dame education, and it is now our opportunity to ensure future students can experience a similar, if not better, Notre Dame. In expressing our gratitude to past benefactors and our optimism for the University's future, the Senior Legacy committee calls upon the Senior Class to make a gift towards the University by this May. Our goal is not defined by the size of the gift, but by 100% class participation. Together, we can make an impact. Together, we can honor our time at Notre Dame. Together, we can leave a legacy.
