Football Ticket Lottery Information
By making a gift to the University, you may qualify for the Notre Dame Football Ticket Lottery and become eligible to purchase tickets to watch the Irish play in Notre Dame Stadium before they go on sale to the general public.
2020 - 2021 Lottery Updates
Due to social distancing practices to ensure the safety of our campus community, the University has announced that attendance at the 2020 season’s football games will be limited to 20% or less of Notre Dame Stadium’s normal capacity. Priority will be given to Notre Dame students, assuring that every student who wants to attend games will be able to do so. Once student demand has been met, the remaining tickets will be made available to faculty and staff.
Eligibility for the 2020 football ticket lottery will now carry over to the 2021 season. Lottery application levels will be based on combined giving from both 2019 and 2020. For the 2021 football season only, additional “Plus” levels will be created to recognize the combined years of giving. See below to review these levels and associated giving amounts. The following will automatically receive their respective applications for the 2021 football season with no gift required:
- Graduates of the Class of 2020
- Graduates of the Class of 2021
- Parents of the Classes of 2022 - 2025

About the Lottery
I'm an alum. How can I participate in the football ticket lottery?
Notre Dame alumni are eligible for the football ticket lottery with an annual gift to the University, according to the guidelines below. Graduating seniors each year automatically receive a lottery application for the football season immediately following their graduation (e.g., the Class of 2020 will receive an application for the 2020 football season).
Minimum Annual Gift Guidelines for Alumni
All gifts should be made directly to Notre Dame by December 31 to qualify for the following year’s lottery. Please note that your eligibility for the 2020 lottery will carry over to the 2021 lottery. Your application level will be based on the combined giving from 2019 and 2020.
|Class Year||Minimum Annual GIft for 2021 Lottery|
|Prior to 1971||$100|
I'm a current parent.
As a parent of a current undergraduate student, you have the opportunity to participate in the designated Parent Games each season. Lottery information for Parent Games will be sent in late Spring.
I’m not an alum. Can I still participate in the lottery?
Yes! You are welcome to participate in the football ticket lottery via a benefaction of $1,500 or more. Learn more about joining one of Notre Dame’s Giving Societies.
What gifts count toward eligibility in the football ticket lottery?
Any gift you make to Notre Dame is credited toward your eligibility in the lottery. Corporate matching gifts, deferred gifts, and season ticket annual memberships do not count toward eligibility.
Why should I participate in the football ticket lottery?
Beyond the opportunity to obtain tickets to Notre Dame football games, your gift ultimately benefits our students. No matter what you choose to give to—or how much you decide to give—your gift will make a difference.
In addition to participating in the football ticket lottery, are there other ways to obtain football tickets?
